Southern Engineering is seeking a CNC Brake Press Machine Operator to join our team at our Ballarat workshop. Southern Engineering is a parts manufacturing company that supplies laser cut and folded parts to a broad range of manufacturing companies. Reporting to the Production Co-Ordinator , the role will be responsible for: Operating our CNC Brake Press machine. Running our sheet metal CNC Laser Cutting machine when required. Reading and interpreting Engineering drawings. Sorting and checking off parts. Parts cleanup and Sanding. Loading and unloading of trucks. General maintenance of the machines. Maintaining a safe and clean working environment. To be considered for this position you will need to possess the following qualities: Positive Can - Do Attitude. Punctuality and the ability to work under time constraints. Ability to work as part of a team. Ability to work on your own unsupervised. Self-Motivated. To be considered for this position you will need to possess the following Pre-requisites: Current driver's license. Sheet metal experience is a Great advantage. Ability to read CAD drawings. Forklift license is an advantage. Physically fit and hardworking. The ability to use your own initiative. Able to work safely and efficiently.
