Our client is seeking an experienced cloud architect to join our team in designing and architecting secure cloud solutions. We are looking for someone who excels in designing end-to-end solutions on the Azure platform and has a deep understanding of Azure services. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of working independently, guiding developers, and effectively engaging with IT stakeholders in designing, deploying, and managing cloud-based solutions on Microsoft Azure.

This role requires a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and strategic vision to assess the current landscape and design the future state.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Architectural Design: Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions on the Azure platform.
2. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with IT stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Drive architecture and technical discussion to lead cloud security and compliance decisions.
3. Project Management: Lead and manage technical cloud implementation projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to best practices.
4. Developer Guidance: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams, guiding them in best practices and solution implementation.
5. Landscape Assessment: Evaluate the current IT landscape and design future-state architectures that align with business goals.
6. Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation and project plans.
7. Innovation: Stay updated with the latest Azure technologies and industry trends to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

Subject Matter Expertise:

1. Design cloud and hybrid solutions that run on Azure, including: Compute: Expertise in virtual machines, containers, and serverless computing.
2. Network: Proficiency in virtual networks, load balancers, and network security.
3. Storage: Knowledge of Azure Storage, databases, and data management solutions.
4. Monitoring: Implementing monitoring solutions to ensure system reliability and performance.
5. Security: Ensuring robust security measures and compliance with industry standards.
6. Data Integration: Proficiency in Azure Data Factory, Logic Apps, and Event Grid for seamless data integration and orchestration.
7. App Development: Experience with Azure App Service, Azure Functions, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) for modern application development.
8. CI/CD Pipelines: Experience in developing CI/CD pipelines and change management processes, including branching strategies, pull requests, and code reviews.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in cloud architecture, with a focus on Azure.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Azure services, including but not limited to Azure DevOps, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions, and Azure SQL Database.
• Project Management: Strong project management skills with experience in leading technical projects.
• Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Leadership: Proven ability to work independently and lead development teams.
• Certifications: Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification is highly desirable.
• Preference: Preference will be given to candidates who are Microsoft certified and available with an immediate start.
