This is a great opportunity to join us as a Cash Application & Factoring Analyst with Italian in our Global Business Center in our Bucharest office.

This role will be an interface between banks, corporate treasury, accounting or Accounts Receivable teams regarding the factoring programs and activities associated with them.

Key Responsibilities

• Factoring administration activities including execution of day to day activities such as inputting data, preparing invoices files, payments and reconciliations and other reports as needed
• Manage cash application – quickly and accurately: downloading bank statements and allocation of customers’ payments on a daily basis
• Work closely with Credit Analysts on customer account issues
• Follow-up on payment discrepancies, both deductions and overpayments
• Factoring cession preparation and posting
• Interface and manage third party service provider relationships and provide expected deliverables for assigned programs
• Send requests for payments approval to treasury department
• Prepare payments instructions
• Perform GL entries and post journals in ERP system to reflect factoring transactions (cessions, comissions, interests)
• Perform various controls to ensure accuracy of data and AS 400 postings
• Support different requests coming from factoring stakeholders
• Prepare and update Standard Operating Procedures and process maps
• Draft and maintain proper documentation for SOX purposes
  
  

What Will Make You Successful

• Bachelor's degree (required), preferably in Accounting or Finance
• Advanced English language skills
• Italian language skills (at least intermediate level)
• Experience with SAP (or similar ERP system) and proficiency in Excel and financial analysis.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with Credit and Collection and Cash Application
• Understanding of Accounts Receivable Factoring
• Good understanding of Accounting Principles, Credit, Accounts Receivable and Cash Application.
• Extremely detailed oriented, curiosity, strong critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• High level of initiative and good judgement.
• Ability to work with different personalities, cultures, and levels of management.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills. Able to explain complex information clearly and concisely.
• Willingness to work flexibly across geographic time zones and during peak periods such month end closing
