• Strategic Planning:
• Develop comprehensive sourcing strategies for different capital equipment categories, aligning with the company's short-term and long-term goals.
• Conduct in-depth market research, assess supply chain trends, identify potential risks, and create contingency plans.
• Lead the development of 3-5 year Capex sourcing roadmaps that support business expansion and product development initiatives.
• SupplierDevelopment and Management:
• Proactively identify, evaluate, and onboard new high-potential suppliers across equipment categories.
• Build and maintain strong strategic partnerships with key suppliers, fostering open communication and collaboration.
• Conduct regular supplier performance reviews, negotiate contracts, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Establish close working relationships with engineering teams to understand technical requirements, identify sourcing opportunities, and align Capex procurement with product development cycles.
• Partner with product marketing to forecast demand, assess market dynamics, and ensure Capex strategies support sales and growth targets.
• Cost Optimization:
• Analyze market trends and supplier data to identify cost-saving opportunities across different equipment categories
• Lead complex negotiations with suppliers to achieve optimal pricing, payment terms, and contracts.
• Implement initiatives to reduce total cost of ownership and drive continuous improvement in Capex spending. Requirements:
• Excellent Communication Skills with English Language Proficiency
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field。 Degrees in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering is desired. MBA will be preferred. 3.8+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, with a substantial focus on capital equipment procurement, from welding industry will be preferred
• Demonstrated success in developing and executing sourcing strategies that deliver tangible results.
• Deep understanding of equipment categories, supplier markets, and manufacturing processes. Eg, drawing line, auto packing line, CNC machine, assembly line, testing equipment, molds
• Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proven ability to influence and collaborate effectively across functions.
• Ability to travel as needed
