Procurement Process Execution
- Assist the Procurement Manager in developing and implementing procurement strategies, policies, and workflows.
- Oversee day-to-day procurement activities, including supplier sourcing, bid evaluations, purchase order issuance, and delivery tracking.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement guidelines and legal/regulatory requirements (e.g., contract law, anti-corruption policies).
Supplier & Stakeholder Coordination
- Liaise with suppliers to negotiate terms, resolve disputes, and maintain strong relationships.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., project managers, finance, logistics) to align procurement activities with project timelines and budgets.
- Prepare and distribute procurement reports (e.g., cost analysis, supplier performance) to stakeholders.
Contract & Cost Management
- Review and draft procurement contracts under the guidance of the Procurement Manager.
- Monitor procurement budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and report deviations to management.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions, contracts, and supplier communications.
Compliance & Risk Mitigation
- Conduct supplier due diligence (e.g., financial stability, compliance certifications) to minimize risks.
- Ensure adherence to ethical sourcing practices and sustainability standards.
- Support audits by preparing documentation and addressing compliance gaps.
Team Supervision
- Train and mentor junior procurement staff, ensuring alignment with company processes.
- Monitor team performance and workflow efficiency, escalating critical issues to the Procurement Manager. Job Holder Requirement
Qualifications: 1. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, contract management, and supplier lifecycle management.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI) for cost modeling and reporting.
- Familiarity with e-procurement platforms and digital sourcing tools. 5 Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management abilities. 6 Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills. 7 Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. 8 Fluency in English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus for multinational projects. 9 Willingness to travel occasionally for supplier visits or project site inspections.
Experience 1 8+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain roles, preferably in [industry, e.g., construction, oil & gas, manufacturing]. 2 Experience using procurement software (e.g., SAP Ariba, Oracle Procurement Cloud) and ERP systems.
