JOB TITLE: BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER – NORTH
Overall Mission
Business Development Manager must build and maintain a strong relationship with the client. They will be the lead point of contact for all key client matters, anticipate the client’s needs, work within the company to ensure deadlines
for client are met, and help the client succeed. The Business Development Manager will also bring in new business from existing clients or contacts, and will develop new relationships with potential clients.
Main Contribution
Sales and Development
Develop and generate new business leads through developing relationships across the Cryoport Organization
Provide technical and administrative product information, coordinate presentations, manages projects and supports proposal generation
Maintains and updates a pipeline regularly
Qualifies sales opportunities using the business resource network
Negotiates with customers to obtain the best Win/Win agreement
Accelerates implementation of new business to ramp up revenues while ensuring customer commitment
Sets and drives the program and project teams to ensure efficient, full implementation of the client agreement with big return on investment in mind
Building account plans
Prepare client-specific presentations and other data to respond to client needs.
Prioritize business portfolio in meaningful segments to align resources in accordance with the Managing Director
Conducts analysis of relationships
Registers all activities and site specific details in the pipeline with specific action plans
Builds the customer's loyalty through relationship strategy
Defines a plan for key decision makers and sets a schedule with key, relevant members
Organizes review committees with Cryoport to develop a mutual trust base relationship with key decision makers at different levels within the organization covering the multiple departments and sites
Weekly commercial-operations meetings to review implementation progress and statements of work usage
Training of employees on the company's services
Review of the Company's offerings and contracts
Drives solution offerings and organizes the review process as well as analyzing profitability with the Business Development Director
Leads and controls the feasibility of the prepared proposals . Validates according to sales policy and account plan
Act as a resource to other Business Development Managers, attend client meetings/virtual meetings and provide any support information to drive business forward
Reports and communicates progress and results
Reports on targets and goals to the organization and controls the implementation process through appropriate procedures and planning
Gathers and analyzes sales results through a centralized dashboard
Mitigation of escalation and proactive response through visibility and connectivity manage the coordination between departments through scheduling weekly meetings and sharing reports to track progress
Identifying and mapping resource constraints with the client relationship manager to present to human resources, operations and commercial management
Owning and mapping progress with reporting records across activities (pricing, operations, invoicing, lead/opportunity)
Specific Experience & Knowledge Required
Knowledge in clinical trials and Cells & Genes Therapies
Understanding of the requirements and specifications in the logistics field.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
Negotiation skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
Able to understand and comply with established company policies and procedures.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google
Interpersonal skills ("Essential")
