Job Title: Azure Cloud Engineer

Job Description:

As an Azure Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for building, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure and services. You will work closely with developers, and business stakeholders to implement secure, scalable, and cost-effective solutions. A key part of your role will be to ensure operational efficiency and apply FinOps principles to manage cloud costs effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deploy, configure, and maintain Azure infrastructure components including VMs, networking, storage, and monitoring services
• Ensure systems are secure, resilient, and meet performance requirements
• Monitor cloud workloads and implement proactive measures to improve reliability and performance
• Apply FinOps practices to monitor and optimize cloud spend across projects and services
• Collaborate with finance, architecture, and operations teams to improve cost visibility, budgeting, and forecasting
• Analyze usage patterns and recommend architectural or operational changes to improve cost efficiency
• Create and maintain documentation related to cloud infrastructure, policies, and operational procedures
• Participate in incident management and root cause analysis for production issues

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 4+ years of hands-on experience managing Azure cloud environments
• Strong experience with core Azure services such as VMs, AKS, Azure Functions, Storage, and Virtual Networks
• Proficient in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, or Python
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using ARM, Bicep, or Terraform
• Knowledge of Azure governance, policies, and identity management
• Familiarity with FinOps concepts and experience in managing or analyzing cloud costs
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose complex issues
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills

Certifications:

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or equivalent
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Associate or Expert (preferred)
• FinOps Certified Practitioner (preferred)
• Additional cloud-related certifications are a plus
