We are conducting a search for an Assistant Controller for a growing, mid-sized, healthcare software company in the Northern, VA area. This is a newly created role due to company growth. The ideal candidate will have a mix of public accounting and corporate accounting experience. CPA and Netsuite experience a plus. Healthcare company and/or SAAS experience a big plus. Responsibilities:

• Oversee the organization’s general ledger, reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, and preparing accurate and timely financial statements.
• Lead initiatives to enhance and streamline accounting processes, particularly focusing on improving reconciliations and optimizing the month-end close cycle.
• Manage the revenue process, including oversight of AR and ASC 606 revenue recognition.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring deadlines are met and financial statements are completed accurately for both internal and external reporting.
• Draft technical memos on complex accounting issues and assist in implementing solutions that align with regulatory standards.
