Position: Assistant Controller

Location: On-site in Washington, D.C. (parking provided next door)

Salary: $80,000–$95,000 base

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM (no weekends)

What You’ll Do

  • Handle daily AR updates and manual journal entries
  • Reconcile accounts and record AP electronically
  • Prepare daily F&B revenue reports and assist with month-end reporting
  • Support in budget preparation and external audits
  • Walk deposits to a local bank (PNC) – roughly 40% of members pay via check
  • Collaborate directly with the CFO and small accounting team (3 total)

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
  • Experience with AP, AR, general ledger, and reconciliations
  • Strong knowledge of debits/credits and accounting fundamentals
  • Background in hospitality, clubs, or F&B accounting is a big plus
  • Familiarity with Jonas (or similar accounting software) helpful
  • Organized, patient, and excellent at multitasking
  • Professional communication skills—written and verbal

  • Dress Code: Formal business attire. Traditional environment (e.g., suit and tie for men; no visible tattoos or piercings).
  • Office Setup: 5 days/week onsite in downtown D.C. – private office included.
  • Reports To: Long-tenured CFO (15+ years at the club).
