Description
We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager to join our team in Montebello, California. In this role, you will lead the accounts payable function, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of transactions, compliance with company policies, and effective collaboration with vendors. This position requires strong leadership skills and a meticulous approach to maintain the integrity of financial processes.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the accounts payable operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions.
- Manage high-volume invoice processing, including general ledger coding, data entry, and securing necessary approvals.
- Perform three-way matching by cross-referencing purchase orders, receiving documents, and invoices.
- Communicate with vendors to reconcile accounts, review aging statements, and address discrepancies.
- Resolve invoice disputes and handle escalated vendor payment issues with precision and care.
- Supervise recurring payment processes such as weekly checks, wire transfers, and ACH payments, along with vendor setup.
- Reconcile corporate credit card accounts and compile supporting documentation for payment reviews.
- Ensure proper vendor setup by collecting and verifying W-9 forms and assist in issuing annual 1099 forms.
- Prepare journal entries and accruals related to accounts payable transactions, maintaining accurate financial records.
- Support annual audit processes by providing requested documentation and information.
Requirements
- Proven experience in accounts payable management, including high-volume transaction processing.
- Proficiency in accounting software systems and tools such as ADP, Concur, or similar platforms.
- Strong knowledge of three-way matching, accrual accounting, and financial reconciliation processes.
- Familiarity with corporate credit card reconciliation and vendor account management.
- Expertise in preparing journal entries and conducting month-end close activities.
- Excellent problem-solving skills to address invoice discrepancies and vendor inquiries.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain organized and accurate financial records.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external vendors.
