Report to the Corporate Controller, where you will be responsible for supporting the global consolidation and financial reporting environment.
This is highly a visible role, handling a broad range of accounting topics. Work closely with all the teams across business as well as the company’s regional and international Finance and Leadership teams.
Strong analytical, problem solving, research skills and communications skills are needed
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Own and manage the consolidation process including Group subsidiaries, joint ventures and acquisitions. Gather financial data from various sources, eliminating intercompany transactions and preparing consolidated financial statements.
Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial reports including income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements in accordance with US GAAP.
Assist in month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities including the preparation of the management report and accompanying schedules.
Develop and maintain effective internal controls over financial reporting to mitigate risks and prevent errors or fraud.
For overseas entities, review and understand the differences between statutory financials and financials reported to corporate, coordinate with corporate tax to ensure these differences are properly accounted for in the tax provision/filings.
Prepare and record consolidation journal entries and reconciliations for month-end closing.
Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement, and provide insights to support decision-making by senior management.
Identify opportunities to streamline the consolidation and reporting processes, implement automated solutions and improve efficiency and accuracy.
Completion of requests from external Auditors, Tax consultants, and other financial advisors.
Support cash forecasting processes and contribute to the global cash management strategy.
Conduct accounting research and analyses on an ad hoc basis.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent from an accredited university required
Consolidation & reporting experience required
Big four or leading public accounting background preferred
4+ years of total work experience
CPA preferred
Clear understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP)
Strong analytical and accounting skills with advanced excel skills required
Knowledge of OneStream, Hyperion (HFM) or other consolidation tools
Excellent verbal & written communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet tight deadlines
Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a busy deadline driven environment
