- Responsible for all areas relating to financial reporting including general ledger accounting functions. Responsible for application of appropriate accounting in accordance with US GAAP necessary to produce accurate and timely financial reporting
- Activities including general ledger maintenance, financial reporting, year-end audit and tax preparation and the support of certain budget and forecast activities
- Ensure an accurate and timely week, month, quarterly, and year end close
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Work in partnership with the outside audit firm on all auditing and tax matters and ensure related compliance
- Proactively review internal processes and implement improvements
- Responsible for establishing internal control framework including but not limited to corporate wide accounting policies
- Supports organization financial objectives by providing financial analyses and recommendations
- Develops accounting organizational strategies by contributing accounting and financial information, analysis, and recommendations for strategic thinking and direction, and establishing functional objectives in line with organizational objectives
- Educate business of accounting impacts from key business decisions
- Responsible for all accounting affairs related to M&A including, but not limited to, integration, reporting/consolidation, and US GAAP accounting compliance
- Oversee General Ledger and Shared Services teams
- Recruit, supervise, and evaluate accounting staff
- Develop the personal and professional capacity of accounting staff members, including coaching, training, mentoring, and continuing education
- Responsible for building talent to support company organic and M&A growth
- Establishes accounting operational strategies by evaluating trends, establishing critical measurements, determining production, productivity, quality, and customer-service strategies
- Designs systems, accumulates resources, resolves problems, and implements change by way of technology strategies to improve productivity and processes
- Responsible for the use of technology to support future M&A activity and financial integration
Job Requirements
- Strong technical accounting and software skills required
- Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office
- Experience driving process improvements within an accounting organization with focus on technology
- Possess strategic thinking, change leadership, and continuous improvement
