about the account executive role:

the soona sales account executive (AE) works closely with the senior manager of accounts to execute the strategy to exceed revenue targets. the AE is an expert communicator, proficient at identifying high-value opportunities for the business.

this role will support all parts of the client journey that may generate revenue, such as pre-production upsells, preferred conversion/renewal and driving checkout. this role owns the success of the book of business with their manager.

the AE is proactive, curious and confidently delivers on their clients' goals. this person uses data to derive insights, identify areas of opportunity and execute tests that improve the client experience and grow revenue. the AE mines their accounts to uncover unidentified opportunities to win-back and/or upsell their clients.

the AE reports to the senior manager of accounts. success in this role is achieved by consistently hitting revenue targets.

this is a full-time hybrid position located in Denver, Minneapolis or Austin that will report directly to the senior manager of accounts. we believe a hybrid work environment allows our crew to have a balance of productive and innovative work spaces. occasionally coming into the office allows for collaboration and offers opportunity to bring out your inner creative! this role will come into the office on Tuesdays for collaboration day and a second day that's up to each team.

Requirements

an ideal candidate can:

  • execute the strategy to exceed revenue targets
  • identify and close preferred and other revenue opportunities
  • prioritize time to generate the best ROI for soona's one-to-many model
  • spend the majority of time communicating with clients on the phone, email, and video calls
  • show month over month improvements to soona's revenue and core KPIs within the book of business
  • foster long-lasting relationships with preferred clients to drive redemption and renewal
  • work closely with fellow departments to drive the best possible client experience, identify blockers and gaps within the team and develop plans for solving them
  • draw insights from data to determine areas of opportunity and action for the studio team that drive revenue outcomes
  • collaborate with key leaders on solutions to address areas of opportunity (e.g. profit decline, employee conflicts, loss of business to competitors, satisfaction or quality control complaints)

has experience in:

  • 3+ years previous experience in sales
  • previous experience carrying a quota and consistently achieving targets
  • proficiently use a CRM to track pipeline, performance, client behavior and opportunities
  • exceptional communication and collaboration skills, both verbal and written
  • quantitative and qualitative analysis to draw insights to make meaningful decisions
  • competitive by nature and excited to hit big targets
  • capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously through successful prioritization
  • thrives in a fast-pace, ever-changing startup environment
  • proficient with G Suite and spreadsheet data dives
  • photo and video production experience a plus
  • B.A. preferred
