Reporting to the Senior Director of Sales for Grocery East, the Ahold National Account Executive will plan, develop, and implement business creating initiatives by working with cross functional areas of the company and the customers to achieve company objectives and priorities that are aligned with customer objectives. He/she will establish goals and objectives that will deliver profitable and sustainable growth for the company.

This can be a fully remote role, but must reside in midwest or northeast USA.

Ways you will make a difference

  • Leads all aspects of the local Sales effort for assigned Ahold banners.
  • Responsible for retaining a long-term direct customer relationship with assigned banners.
  • Establishes collaborative relationships, both internally and externally, to deliver results against objectives.
  • Determines best go to market strategy, working with leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Responsible for annual account planning and plan execution.
  • Develops, maintains and adheres to operating budgets and trade spending plans.
  • Responsible for monthly sales forecasting in conjunction with Sales Planning, Demand Planning and Supply Planning Teams.
  • Responsible for maintaining an understanding of local market analytics for each of the assigned divisions.
  • Maintains line of sight to customer supply chain to ensure the highest level of customer service.
  • Leads the development and implementation of category driving initiatives.
  • Participates in department and interdepartmental planning and management teams and works cross-functionally to improve processes within the organization.
  • Develops and presents customer programs to multiple levels of management.
  • Demonstrates the ability to create, define and present contingency plans to maximize growth in both revenue and margin.
  • Ensures adherence to all company policies and procedures.
  • Understands and demonstrates the Company’s core values and operating principles.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to manage, drive and lead the assisting broker.
  • Ability to effectively communicate internally and externally with key stakeholders.

Experiences that will support your success

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience within the confection industry.
  • 5 years of Account Sales responsibility. Ahold (all banner) experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Consumables experience is preferred but not required. Confections experience a plus.
  • Regional Preference – Remote with preference to be in the Northeast/ Midwest.
  • Ability to travel as required achieving results.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $150,000 annually.
