Parkview Orthopaedic Group is a multi-specialty orthopaedic practice located in the southwest suburbs of Chicago. We are currently seeking a Workers’ Compensation Coordinator to be located in our Palos Heights office location. Your role as the Work Comp Coordinator is to be our liaison between employers, case managers, and their injured workers. The right candidate must have excellent communication skills, be able to multitask, and be reliable. RESPONSIBILITIES: Schedule patients with work-related injuries by obtaining necessary case information Communicate with employers, nurse case managers, lawyers, and patients to coordinate full scope of care Obtain appropriate authorizations for ancillary services related to the case, including Physical Therapy and imaging Ensure proper paperwork and follow-up information is provided to the appropriate parties after a work comp visit Many additional duties as necessary SKILLS: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook and Excel Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Prior experience with Electronic Medical Record preferred (specifically NextGen) HOURS: Monday-Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm LOCATION: Palos Heights, IL SALARY: From $18 per hour, dependent upon experience Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Schedule: Day shift Monday to Friday Education: High school or equivalent (Preferred) Experience: Workers' compensation: 2 years (Preferred) Customer service: 1 year (Preferred) Medical office: 3 years (Preferred) Work Location: In person
