Our client, an investment firm, is seeking a Vice President of Data Products and Solutions to join their team in Los Angeles, CA! In this role, you will drive the development and delivery of strategic data products that enhance decision-making and operational efficiency across the firm. The position requires a blend of technical expertise, product management skills, and a deep understanding of financial data and solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with technology, operations, and front office stakeholders to define and prioritize data product requirements.
• Own the end-to-end product lifecycle, from ideation through to deployment and maintenance.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and/or prototypes.
• Document detailed product requirements, calculations, SLAs, quality expectations and lineage.
• Work closely with data architecture and engineering teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of new solutions.
• Monitor and analyze the adoption of data products, gather user feedback, and develop plans to drive continuous improvement.
• Oversee agile-oriented process to ensure the iterative delivery of data products, ensuring continuous alignment with business goals and objectives.
• Collaborate with peers and stakeholders to define and track KPIs measuring the impact and efficacy of new solutions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, or other relevant disciplines.
• 10+ years of product management or relevant experience, delivering products from inception to production.
• Knowledge of the asset management industry and financial data concepts.
• Experience with data warehouse, data lake, and cloud solutions, collaborating effectively with data engineering teams.
• Familiarity with querying tools (e.g., SQL) and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex data concepts clearly and influence senior stakeholders.
• Proven track record of developing talent and implementing standards, policies, and best practices in a product management context.
