Role Overview
We’re hiring a VP of Growth to lead all things related to customer acquisition, funnel
optimization, brand growth, and lifecycle retention. You will be the growth co-pilot across
business, marketing, and product, partnering closely with tech, sales, and ops to fuel scalable,
cost-efficient expansion.
Ideal candidates come from fast-growth fintechs or marketplaces with a bias for execution, a
strong GTM engineering mindset, and comfort navigating ambiguity. You're a hands-on growth
leader and AI enthusiast, obsessed with data, experimentation, and building customer-centric
flywheels.
Core Responsibilities
Growth Strategy & Execution
• Define and own the end-to-end growth engine, from awareness to disbursement and
beyond.
• Build full-funnel strategies to optimize traffic, leads, conversion, and CAC payback.
• Spearhead experiments across SEO, paid media, referral loops, lifecycle comms,
influencer, and offline channels.
Customer Segmentation & Lifecycle
• Develop robust customer personas using 1st/3rd-party data.
• Build dynamic lifecycle journeys, personalized across geographies, product stages, and
intent signals.
• Own tools and strategies for lead scoring, cohort behavior analysis, and customer LTV
segmentation.
AI-Powered Growth & GTM Engineering
• Leverage AI agents, LLMs, and automation platforms to scale content, comms, audience
targeting, and creative testing.
• Work closely with product, data, and engineering teams to integrate AI into the growth
stack (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, LangChain, Segment, HubSpot).
• Deploy tools for predictive intent, channel ROI modeling, and real-time campaign
optimization.
Brand Building & Inbound Demand
• Build Lorien into a category-defining brand in global education finance.
• Collaborate with content, PR, and design to run narrative-driven brand and product
campaigns.
• Launch new growth loops across social, community, affiliate, and influencer ecosystems.
Metrics, Analytics & Experimentation
• Own weekly funnel reviews and OKRs for acquisition, cost efficiency, and LTV.
• Drive structured A/B and multivariate testing for landing pages, messaging, channel
mixes, and user flows.
• Report on campaign performance, surface insights, and adapt strategy dynamically.
Who You Are
• 8–12 years of growth experience, ideally in fintech, lending, marketplace, or B2C SaaS
• Proven track record scaling acquisition channels and optimizing CAC-to-LTV
• Deep understanding of customer behavior, analytics, and cohort-based strategies
• Experience working with AI tools or curious to push boundaries with AI in growth
• Strong storytelling and execution bias — able to zoom out and dive in
• You think like a GTM engineer — you build, automate, measure, and scale
Bonus Points For
• Prior experience in student lending, cross-border finance, or education tech
• Hands-on experience with tools like Segment, Mixpanel, HubSpot, Webflow, Jasper,
Retool, or LangChain
• Previous exposure to PLG (product-led growth) motion
