About the Job We are looking for part time Robotics instructors and coaches in after-school work hours: Monday-Friday 2-6pm, or Weekends 9-5pm. We are particularly looking for candidates with engineering background, especially with VEX Robotics experience, who knows how to teach and build a robot. As a STEM Robotics Instructor and Coach your responsibilities will include: Teach building, programming, engineering VEX robotics products with plastic parts or metal parts. Be able to improve and create new teaching content individually. Coach highly demanded middle school or high school robotics competition teams. Be curious, adaptive, and have strong initiatives to research and engineering build robots prototypes and explain mechanisms behind to the class students. Adequately prepare for each session by reading curriculum, watching training videos and/or participating in training sessions. Provide guidance and support to students as they work on individual and group projects. Manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students. Communicate with parents if needed, i.e. sharing their children's successes! Attend staff meetings and trainings as required. Assisting with marketing events. Helping with daily operations and keep classroom in good manner. Qualifications: You must love working with kids! Bachelor's degree completed or in pursuing in Engineering related fields. Have previous experience working with children in a classroom, camp, or similar environment. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis. Authorized to work in US. Preferred if you have: Previous experience teaching VEX robotics. VEX Robotics Competition experience highly preferred.
