Summary

Job Title: Electro Mechanical Integration Engineer Job Description The Senior ElectroMechanical Integration Engineer will be a part of the R&D organization and play a crucial role in the realization of the next generation robotic platform that aims to transform the future of healthcare. You will work directly on the development of complex electro-mechanical assemblies, contributing from prototype to verification builds and tests within a regulated medical device development environment. This role is ideal for a hands-on, senior-level R&D engineer with multidisciplinary expertise in mechanical, electrical, and software integration of complex electromechanical systems. Experience in troubleshooting, configuration management, component inventory management, and design improvement is essential. Responsibilities * Maintain and upgrade a fleet of robotic systems for R&D development. * Lead system configuration management to ensure system traceability for various R&D activities. * Conduct hands-on, disciplined system troubleshooting activities in collaboration with different engineering disciplines. * Author relevant documents related to process improvements. * Develop test methods, protocols, execute tests, prepare reports, and release them via Engineering Change Orders (ECOs). * Support system builds, inventory management, and procurement activities. * Lead and support detailed planning (Bill of Materials, procurement, etc.) and future builds. Essential Skills * 8+ years of work experience in complex electromechanical system R&D environment. * Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Robotics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related field. An Associate's degree with exceptional experience is acceptable. * Experience in heavily-regulated industries such as medical device or aerospace. * Hands-on experience in the assembly and testing of electro-mechanical systems. * Ability to deconstruct complex problems into manageable components for effective solutions. * Proficiency in fixture and process validation. * Experience in cross-functional collaboration and technical leadership. * Project management experience including task timeline estimation and work breakdown structures. * Execution of assigned projects and duties with minimal supervision. * Outstanding documentation and communication skills. * Proficiency in using MS Office. * Knowledge of industry best practices for the development of complex electromechanical systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications * Previous experience in design transfer/new product introduction. * Demonstrated CAD proficiency, with preference for Solidworks. * Working knowledge of Design for Manufacturing/Assembly (DFM/A), Six Sigma, and statistical tolerance analysis. * Proficiency with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software and ECOs. * Experience in developing production-level and support documentation including bills of materials (BOMs), assembly drawings, and maintenance instructions. * Proficiency in developing test methods, protocols, performing tests, and releasing relevant documentation. * Experience using, modifying, and programming in MATLAB Simulink or LabView.
