We are seeking a highly motivated and talented UI/UX and Visual Design Intern to contribute to the design vision across our platforms, software products, and scientific applications.


Key Responsibilities


UI/UX Design Support

  1. End-to-end design processes: research, wireframing, prototyping, testing, and refinement.
  2. Translate complex AI/Quantum concepts into simple and intuitive user experiences.
  3. Participate in building/maintaining design systems, component libraries, and UI guidelines.
  4. Support user research, persona development, task analysis, and usability testing activities.


Visual and Interaction Design

  1. Create high-fidelity designs, mockups, and UI animations for web and mobile products.
  2. Develop visual identity elements like iconography, typography, and UI illustrations.
  3. Design visual storytelling assets including infographics, animations, and visual assets.
  4. Ensure a pixel-perfect handoff of designs to the development team with proper annotations.


Collaboration

  1. Work closely with Product Managers, Scientists, Engineers, and Software Developers.
  2. Work closely with Branding/Marketing teams to design consistent user touchpoints.
  3. Apply user-centered design thinking and help promote best practices in UI/UX design.


Learning and Development

  1. Participate in design reviews, brainstorming sessions, and design critique sessions.
  2. Balance visual design excellence with usability and functionality.


Requirements


Core Skills

  1. Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Suite, Sketch, and Canva.
  2. UI/UX fundamentals, interaction design, responsive design, and motion graphics.
  3. Ability to create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and visual mockups.
  4. Passion for designing for technical platforms, scientific data, or enterprise applications.


Behavioral Skills

  1. Strong attention to detail, creativity, and problem-solving mindset.
  2. Excellent communication and presentation skills to articulate design ideas.
  3. Proactive attitude, willingness to learn quickly, and collaborate actively.
  4. Ability to handle feedback constructively and iterate rapidly.


Qualification

  1. Ongoing Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, HCI, or Visual Communication.
  2. 0–1 years of practical (internship/freelance) experience in UI/UX and visual design.


Bonus

  1. Exposure to scientific visualization, data dashboard design, or motion design.
  2. Basic knowledge of AI, ML, and Quantum Computing concepts.
  3. Familiarity with basic front-end development principles.
