About the Role:


We are seeking an experienced UAV Technical Support Engineer to provide expert technical support for the operation, maintenance, and management of UAV systems. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of hands-on experience in aviation operations, with specialized knowledge in UAVs, aircraft engines, maintenance management, and composite structure repairs. The role requires an individual with a solid understanding of aviation systems, and a proactive approach to troubleshooting and support.


Key Responsibilities:


  • UAV Technical Support:
  • Provide specialized technical support for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of UAV systems.
  • Ensure the operational readiness of UAVs by coordinating maintenance, diagnostics, and system updates.
  • Assist in the resolution of technical issues related to UAV systems, engines, and related avionics.
  • Support operational teams during UAV flight operations, providing on-ground troubleshooting as required.


  • Maintenance Management:
  • Plan and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance for UAVs and related aircraft systems.
  • Monitor UAV health and performance data to identify potential issues before they affect operations.
  • Ensure the availability and optimal utilization of spare parts, components, and equipment to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency.


  • Composite Structures & Engine Support:
  • Provide technical guidance on composite structure repairs, fabrication, and maintenance of UAVs and other aircraft.
  • Assist in maintaining and troubleshooting engines and related systems, ensuring they meet operational standards.


  • Documentation & Compliance:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical records for UAV maintenance, repairs, and modifications.
  • Ensure compliance with aviation safety standards, regulations, and quality control processes.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and maintenance manuals.


  • Training & Knowledge Transfer:
  • Provide on-the-job training and technical support to personnel on UAV systems, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Support the development and delivery of training programs related to UAV operations and maintenance for both internal and external teams.


  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify areas for process improvement in UAV maintenance workflows and technical support practices.
  • Recommend and implement changes to enhance operational efficiency, reduce downtime, and improve system reliability.

  • UAV Expertise: In-depth knowledge of UAV systems with strong troubleshooting and support skills.
  • Maintenance Management: Proficient in planning and executing preventive and corrective maintenance for UAVs and aircraft engines.
  • Composite Structures: Expertise in composite structure repairs, fabrication, and maintenance, particularly related to UAV and aircraft systems.
  • Technical Problem Solving: Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities for resolving complex technical issues in UAVs and aircraft systems.
  • Aviation Safety & Compliance: Solid understanding of aviation regulations, quality control standards, and safety protocols.
  • Team Collaboration & Training: Effective in collaborating with cross-functional teams and providing technical training to enhance team capabilities.


Required Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in aviation operations, specializing in UAV systems, aircraft maintenance, and technical support.
  • Technical Knowledge: Extensive experience with UAV platforms, engines, composite materials, and aviation maintenance procedures.
  • Education: Degree or equivalent in Aerospace Engineering, Aviation Maintenance, or a related technical field.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in UAV operation, aircraft maintenance, or related fields are highly desirable.
  • Skills: Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and technical support skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Leadership: Experience in training and mentoring personnel, with a focus on knowledge transfer and skill development.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills for reporting technical issues, training staff, and collaborating with other departments.
