About The Role

The Training & Development Manager will own and evolve Fora's advisor education strategy, creating and delivering world-class training programs that empower our travel advisors to build successful businesses. This role combines strategic curriculum development with hands-on content creation and delivery, ensuring our educational programs scale effectively while maintaining exceptional quality. Using data-driven insights and key performance metrics, this person will continuously evaluate and optimize training effectiveness to drive advisor success rates. Reporting to the Head of Operations Advisor Experience, this position is crucial in driving advisor success through comprehensive learning experiences and measurable business outcomes.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic Program Development

  • Lead the development of comprehensive training curricula across all advisor experience levels, from onboarding to advanced business development
  • Source and collaborate with subject matter experts to create industry-leading educational content
  • Establish and maintain production standards for all training content across various mediums
  • Design learning paths that align with advisor business growth milestones

Content Creation & Delivery

  • Create engaging training materials including slide decks, interactive workshops, and assessments
  • Facilitate live training sessions both virtually and in-person
  • Develop and implement knowledge checks and learning assessments

Quality Assurance & Performance Management

  • Track and report on key metrics including training adoption, attendance, satisfaction and impact on advisor success and performance
  • Own advisor certification achievement and business performance metrics related to training & development initiatives
  • Review and act on advisor feedback to continuously improve training content
  • Update materials to address inconsistencies or outdated information
  • Ensure all training content maintains consistent quality and branding standards

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience at a high-growth startup or hospitality business in a training role, learning and development role, or related experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful training programs
  • Background in measuring and improving training effectiveness
  • Experience with virtual and in-person training facilitation
  • Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellence in content creation and presentation development

Strongly Preferred

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment with a willingness to learn and adapt quickly.
  • Experience in travel industry or entrepreneurship training development
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with various teams and stakeholders.

Compensation

Salary: $95k- 110k + equity

This role is based in New York City with a hybrid WFH & office schedule (Monday-Thursday are our in-office days, with flexibility for Friday at your preference).
