Job Title: Test Technician (Monday – Friday, 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM (Second Shift))

Location: Austin, TX

Job Duration: 6+m Contract with potential for conversion


Shift: Monday – Friday, 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM (Second Shift)



Primary Skills:

  • 3+ years of PC Validation experience.
  • MS Windows and Linux OS knowledge (install, configure, test); must be comfortable with Linux command line.
  • System-level knowledge of subsystems: Memory, PC Buses (PCI-E, USB, SATA, Ethernet, Processor, Chipset).
  • Strong problem-solving and regression debugging skills.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Leadership ability to manage project functional issues.
  • PC Architecture and peripheral knowledge.
  • 4+ years of PC validation/testing experience with good analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • PC x86 Architecture experience.


Preferred Skills:

  • OS install, setup, configuration, and troubleshooting for MS Windows and Linux.
  • Experience with x86 software configuration and modification.
  • BIOS settings configuration; device drivers installation and setup.
  • PC hardware setup: installing and configuring processors, hard drives, network cards, memory, etc.
  • Preferred experience with multiprocessor platforms (workstations, servers, etc.).


Responsibilities:

  • Configure and maintain test hardware and infrastructure across server systems.
  • Keep systems running, updated, and swap out processors or other hardware as needed.
  • Ensure hardware and validation infrastructure is test-ready at all times to support client roadmap schedules.
  • Work with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Multitask effectively under high-pressure situations to meet deadlines...


Additional Expectations:

  • Ability to read and follow technical instructions accurately.
  • Enthusiastic collaboration with team members; display team spirit and support group decisions.
  • Strong written communication skills (emailing, submitting issues, documenting test results).
  • Good organizational skills: plan, prioritize, and manage assigned workload efficiently across multiple projects.
  • Quick learner: ability to absorb new concepts, applications, and operating systems in a short time.


Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
