Are you passionate about delivering high-quality camera software products that delight users worldwide? We're seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Embedded Camera Software Quality Engineer to lead improvements in the quality and reliability of our embedded camera and imaging systems, including body cameras, dash cameras, drones, and more. You will collaborate closely with engineers developing advanced image processing pipelines and camera hardware. Your primary focus will be on test strategy, automation, and software releases across multiple camera products. Over time, you'll become a key technical owner of our CI/CD processes and release reliability.

If you have a DevOps background and are interested in expanding your skills into hands-on embedded testing and imaging software, this role is an excellent fit. Similarly, experienced Imaging Systems QA/Test Automation Engineers with prior CI/CD and software release experience will find this position highly rewarding.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of quality assurance, systems-level software, and tooling. You'll play a central role in ensuring our embedded camera stack performs exceptionally—from prototype to production.

Reports to: Senior Director of Imaging Software

What You’ll Do


  • Define and execute comprehensive software testing and automation strategies.
  • Drive improvements in hardware-in-the-loop test automation and software release processes
  • Actively participate in the development of end-to-end embedded camera software through hands-on debugging, root-cause analysis for software and hardware integration issues, and clearly communicate findings to developers.
  • Clarify, document, and validate software requirements to align with product expectations.
  • Collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary, international teams.

What You Bring


  • 5+ years of experience in embedded software, DevOps, or quality assurance engineering roles. Background in imaging, cameras, or signal processing is beneficial.
  • Strong scripting skills, particularly in Python. Experience with C++ or other systems programming languages is also beneficial.
  • Expertise with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI), test automation frameworks (e.g., Python, Robot Framework), and version control systems (Git).
  • Strong debugging skills, particularly with embedded Linux environments, kernel logs, and tracing tools.
  • Familiarity with Yocto build environments and Docker.
