At our Siemens Foundational Technologies Development Center we are focused on a product development including software development, hardware development, mechanical design, and testing for the next generation concept of Industry 4.0.
The team is responsible for the development and validation of Condition Monitoring System (CMS) product family. CMS use advanced sensor technology and data analytics to enable early detection of machine and plant damage. This proactive approach allows targeted maintenance planning, safeguarding machinery health, enhancing productivity, and minimizing downtime effectively.
We are involved in creating product specifications, developing our own architecture and frameworks, and building automated test systems, all in collaboration with developers on an international project.
In this role, you will engage in defining the test strategy, designing automated test systems, implementing and executing test cases, validating the product, and collaborating with the team to find solutions. Your work will focus not only on validating new product features but also on enhancing the overall infrastructure, refining existing solutions, and introducing product behavior improvements and new technologies.
Your task will be:
Designing and implementing test suites and tools utilizing .NET C#, WinForms, MS Test, and Python technologies
Configuring and troubleshooting network communication
Proposing improvements for our current system
Conducting code reviews
Driving tasks and organizing your workflow
Know-how sharing
What we will appreciate from you:
Good skills in .NET C#, Winforms, MS Test
Familiarity with other programming languages such as Python and C++ as advantage
Understanding of fundamental testing concepts
Basic knowledge of network protocols like TCP, UDP, DHCP, etc.
Basic knowledge of Windows and Linux OS (CLI usage for process handling, e.g. folder/file manipulation, ps, top, systemctl, etc.)
Experience with source code management (knowledge of GIT is plus)
Awareness of CI/CD practices (such as GitLab)
Good English skills: reading and speaking
Good communication skills
