Working at VALA

At VALA, you also get to work on diverse and meaningful projects. Your task may be to design and implement various test automation solutions for our customers in different industries, always focusing on one customer at a time. We have about 40 customer projects underway, so it's challenging to describe them all, but in your daily work you could, for example, be creating a test automation solution for cancer radiotherapy planning or developing test automation for embedded systems. You will succeed in this role if:

• You want to guide the customer to select smart test automation solutions that are most effective and maintainable in the long run.

• You have an eye for details. However, you don’t merely think about technical solutions, but also can improve the cooperation of your team
• You are flexible; can adapt to new teams, domains and ways of working quickly.
• You have courage to bring up your own observations and ideas and discuss your own and others’ ideas constructively.
• You have good communication skills. Fluent English is required, Finnish is a plus. Sometimes it can also be the other way around as the language skills needed may vary depending on our customer projects.

Our process is lean but thorough. Depending on the role it includes the following steps:
