Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented process and laboratory technician with expertise in powder handling, nanomaterials, and/or quality control. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing and optimizing nanomaterials production to support our technology in enhancing battery active materials, improving performance, and extending the lifespan of energy storage devices.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform production and development activities related to graphene encapsulation for battery materials.
• Develop and optimize techniques for graphene production including yield and throughput enhancements of our current process + scaling that process to industrial equipment
• Work closely with the R&D team to ensure the graphene and precursor product aligns with material properties and energy storage requirements
• Monitor and troubleshoot the production processes, ensuring high-quality results and adherence to safety standards
• Perform maintenance and repairs to equipment and machinery including some initial set-up
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper handling and storage of materials.
• Provide detailed reports on experimental results and process improvements.
  
  

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience in physical technology development.
• Hands-on experience in core material production, preferably involving graphene or other nanomaterials.
• Proficiency in laboratory techniques, equipment handling, and data analysis
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or within a team
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety
• Familiarity with battery technology, especially in the context of lithium-ion or next-generation batteries.
• Experience with scalable manufacturing processes and working in a cleanroom or controlled environment is a plus
