Job Overview:

Spirent is looking for an intern with a passion for technical writing and a knack for breaking down complex networking and telecommunications topics. In this role, you'll be part of a team to update and streamline our existing help documentation. Your work will ensure content accuracy, clear organization, and accessibility, with a focus on making it AI-friendly.

In this role, you will be part of exciting projects around 4G/5G network technologies and will learn about the overall picture around mobile communication systems and how systems are tested and results analyzed. This is an opportunity to work with a dynamic team on real-world projects and gain hands-on experience in technical writing and technical documentation for consumption by both real users and AI.

Job Responsibilities:

• Review and correct existing documentation for technical accuracy.
• Reorganize topics for clarity and easy navigation.
• Adapt content to be easily digestible by AI systems.
• Collaborate with engineers and product teams to gather insights.
• Update content based on input from subject matter experts.

Job Requirements:

• Enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program from an accredited university, preferably in Technical Communications, Information Technology, Software Engineering, English, etc.
• Technical Writing Experience: Strong writing skills with experience in creating clear, concise technical content.
• Networking & Telecommunications Knowledge: Familiarity with networking concepts, telecommunications technologies, and industry terminology.
• AI Readiness: Basic understanding of AI, particularly how content is processed and interpreted by AI systems.
• Experience with RAG and Vector DBs is preferred.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to identify errors and inconsistencies in technical documents.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to work with cross-functional teams.
• Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
