Job Description

The Mixed Signal Development Group is responsible for delivering analog, digital and mixed-signal IP to divisions within Microchip. We work with leading edge CMOS processes to produce mixed-signal integrated circuits for wireline applications. From 112Gb/s+ SERDES to high-speed FEC engines, we enable technology that allows Microchip’s products to interface to the outside world. Applications include integrated silicon devices that enable top tier data centers in next gen storage, artificial intelligence, machine learning and automotive market segments.

Responsibilities

The main tasks would be to architect and design high-speed DSP blocks.

  • Architectural definition, design and implementation of DSP blocks used in high-speed serial links
  • Feasibility studies in Matlab/Simulink
  • Block-level verification in Matlab/Verilog
  • Ownership of DSP blocks from specification through to production.
  • Support HW Design & Validation, Applications, Product Development, Marketing and Production Engineering divisions with system level debug.
  • Represent Microchip at conferences and customer events

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Education: Advanced degree in EE (Masters or PhD)
  • Work experience: 3+ years of experience is preferred
  • A background in DSP or SERDES designs is preferred
  • Proficiency with Matlab and Simulink
  • Experienced with all phases of digital design
  • Proficiency with C/C++
  • Comfort using Unix/Linux O/S

We offer a total compensation package that ranks among the best in the industry. It consists of competitive base pay, restricted stock units, and quarterly bonus payments. Benefits of working at Microchip

The annual base salary range for this position is $107,000-$226,000.*

  • Range is dependent on numerous factors including job location, skills and experience.
