Technical Sales Engineer – Laser Surface Velocimetry (LSV)

Polytec Inc., a leader in high-precision optical measurement systems, is looking for a technically minded and self-motivated individual to join our Technical Sales Team. You’ll support our industry-leading Laser Surface Velocimeter (LSV) systems and work with top manufacturers in steel, aluminum, building materials, converting, and more.

In This Role, You’ll:

• Be the main interface for technical and customer support (pre- and post-sales)
• Understand customer needs and help design tailored solutions
• Perform demos, provide installation support, and ensure long-term customer success
• Travel to customer sites across North America (and occasionally to Germany HQ)
• Work closely with both floor-level operators and senior management
• Take ownership of a growing technical and customer portfolio

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong technical curiosity and problem-solving mindset
• Excellent interpersonal skills and clear communication
• Comfortable in both heavy industrial and light manufacturing environments
• Ability to learn technical systems (we’ll train you!)
• Experience in industrial sales or measurement/control systems is helpful
• BA degree is a plus, but not a must—we care more about your mindset than your diploma
