Summary

Location: North Leinster & Northern Ireland

Passive House Systems are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Technical Sales Advisor to join our growing Airtightness team. Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing relationships with our existing customer base and developing new business opportunities. You will have an aptitude for contemporary construction and building practice, along with the capacity to understand and communicate complex technical information. You will be focused on achieving excellent customer satisfaction, building strong relationships through outstanding customer care, and delivering on your targets.
 
1. Promotion and sale of airtightness products to our existing customers base:
 
• Manage and grow relationships with existing key merchant accounts to achieve excellent levels of customer satisfaction.
• Regularly visit customers within your assigned territory, providing expert technical advice and support and ensuring PHS products are fully stocked and well displayed.
• Create journey plans and meet all scheduled stores promptly.
• Liaise with store teams to negotiate and execute PHS planograms, POS and promotions.
• Monitor and resolve any stock issues swiftly and manage merchandising.
• Recommend customized suggested orders.
• Influence store teams to expand the PHS product range and shelf space.
• Identify new ways to technically support customers such as staff training days.
• Represent PHS at customer events as agreed with PHS HQ.
 
2. Identification of and engagement with new prospects as agreed with the Sales Manager:
 
• Research, identify and qualify potential leads.
• Agree a prospect engagement strategy and generate a pipeline.
• Collaborate with your team in the preparation of proposals, tenders and new business pitches.
 
3. Additional responsibilities:
 
• Promote additional PHS categories such as, but not limited to, ventilation products and services.
• Work closely with PHS Head Office to ensure reporting and CRM are accurate and up to date.
• Regular reporting on targets including in-person Sales Meeting attendance at PHS HQ.
• Keep abreast of and communicate to the team on competitor activity, market changes, opportunities and technological advancements.
• Participate in trade shows, product launches and promotional events.
• Perform additional ad hoc duties as requested from time to time by management.
 
4. Your Profile:
 
• An interest or understanding of NZEB, best practice construction methods and current building regulations is preferable but not essential, as is a background in the construction sector.
• Experience in retail, merchandising and category management is advantageous.
• Innovative, commercially astute with a growth mind set.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Ability to influence and problem-solve.
• Strong relationship-building and account management skills.
• Self-disciplined and highly organized self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Capacity to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Good time management skills.
 
5. Essential Requirements:
 
• Full Clean Driving License essential.
• Minimum sales experience required: 1 year 
• A team player who is approachable and supports all colleagues in the company.
• Some travel with some overnights stays may be necessary on occasions.
• Demonstrable track record of meeting targets in a competitive market.
• The ability to build strong relationships is essential.
• Capacity to navigate and balance the demands of remote working and effectively report and communicate with PHS Head Office.

Our products are available in leading hardware, DIY and builders merchant stores around Ireland.
