College Fizz communities feature a private, moderated feed of anonymous posts from verified students, making it the most entertaining and authentic way to experience student life. On Global Fizz, all of Gen Z can connect across their shared experiences and identities. Users can ask questions, share memes, post polls, and direct message others-all while keeping control of their identity. Safety, inclusion, and authenticity are core to everything we build. Founded by two Stanford dropouts, Fizz launched at Stanford in 2021 and quickly reached over 95% student adoption. Since then, we've expanded to 400+ colleges, started generating ad revenue, and raised >$40M from investors such as Lightspeed, NEA, and Owl. Our mission: build a social network for the 99% of life that doesn't make it onto entertainment platforms like Instagram and TikTok. Where We're Headed In 2025, we're focused on: * Expanding to every U.S. college * Accelerating revenue through new product iterations * Expanding Fizz to new markets beyond college, leveraging the new version of the Fizz product - Global Fizz What you'll be doing We're looking for a technical recruiter who can do more than fill roles-they'll help shape the future of our team. You'll partner closely with the founders and our Head of People to build the most talented and mission-aligned technical team in consumer social. Your responsibilities will include: * Owning the full recruitment lifecycle for technical roles: sourcing, screening, and closing * Partnering with hiring managers to define role requirements and craft compelling job descriptions * Proactively sourcing and building long-term relationships with top-tier technical candidates, especially those who thrive in fast-paced, high-ownership startup environments * Telling the Fizz story authentically and compellingly to candidates who want to build products that shape how Gen-Z communicates * Recruiting not just traditional engineers, but true builders-people who have shipped 0-to-1 products, thrive in ambiguity, and are hungry to take ownership of their domain from day one Qualifications * 3+ years of experience recruiting for high-performing engineering and technical teams, ideally at fast-growing startups * A genuine passion for early-stage startups and a strong grasp of our product, users, and mission * Deep understanding of the tech recruiting landscape-tools, trends, challenges, and where to find exceptional talent * A strong intuition for assessing technical skills and a proven ability to close candidates in competitive markets * Excellent storytelling skills and a passion for communicating a startup's vision to prospective hires This is a part-time contract role, about 20 hours per week for 3 months, with potential for extension. Compensation range is $50 to $75 per hour, depending on job related skills, experience, and location. This is a remote role, however, candidates familiar with the NYC tech ecosystem is preferred.
