This company is currently going through some expansion and are seeking an experienced and motivated Technical Manager to oversee and optimize all technical aspects of the confectionery production operations. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of food manufacturing, particularly in confectionery processes, and will ensure production efficiency, product quality, compliance with safety and food standards, and continuous improvement of technical operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate all technical processes in the confectionery production department.
  • Oversee maintenance and performance of equipment (e.g., mixers, cookers, enrobers, cooling tunnels, packaging lines).
  • Develop and implement technical solutions to improve production efficiency, reduce downtime, and ensure product consistency.
  • Monitor production parameters and lead root cause analysis for process deviations or product defects.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and quality standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO, GMP).
  • Collaborate with R&D, quality assurance, and production planning teams to launch new products or technologies.
  • Manage technical staff and maintenance team, providing training and development opportunities.
  • Control technical documentation, maintenance logs, and standard operating procedures.
  • Lead the introduction of automation, energy-saving technologies, and digital control systems.
  • Building and managing an Engineering Team
  • Design of engineering systems. Search and interaction with contractors

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and instrumentation, Automation Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role within the food industry, preferably confectionery.
  • Strong understanding of confectionery production processes (e.g., chocolate, caramel, gummies, baked goods).
  • Knowledge of industrial refrigeration, cooling systems, and temperature-sensitive production is a strong advantage.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements in food production (e.g., food safety standards, equipment certifications).
  • Stress resistance. High discipline and self-organization
  • Experience with technical documentation, process control systems (SCADA/PLC), and equipment troubleshooting.
  • Experience with communication with government structures (Trakhees, DEWA and etc),
  • Leadership and team management skills.
  • Analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and production management software (ERP/MES).
