JOB PROFILE: Technical Lead

JOB LOCATION: Carrollton, TX

Job Responsibilities

As a Technical Lead, you will be crucial in driving the continuous improvement and maintenance of complex application software. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, from analyzing business processes to identifying and overseeing the implementation of system enhancements. You will collaborate with project teams, provide technical support, and contribute to improving system architecture and design.

  • Conduct business process analysis to identify solutions for process improvement.
  • Create system requirements derived from business requirements, use cases, and usage analysis.
  • Define transitional requirements for smooth implementation of existing/new products or processes.
  • Co-operate with project teams, providing technical support and proposing improvements to operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with enterprise architecture, application, and infrastructure teams to produce optimal conceptual designs.
  • Propose changes in processes, policies, and standards related to architecture and design principles.
  • Maintain and enhance complex application software, resolving bugs and performance issues.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement fixes without impacting other areas.
  • Ensure successful entry and exit test criteria are met for each iteration.
  • Use development languages and tools such as JAVA, ASP.NET, C#, MVC, AngularJS, ADO.Net, Web Services, Windows Services, Windows Workflow, WCF, Team Foundation Server, Visual Studio, SQL Server, Entity Framework, and SSRS.
  • Develop and enforce naming standards, standard templates, and common standard procedures.
  • Monitor development and production environments for consistent performance.
  • Coordinate with IT groups and external vendors to ensure effective application services.
  • Implement and enforce security for Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL databases.
  • Develop technical reports, instruction manuals, and documentation for customized application software.
  • Plan and implement shared software, configuration management, and development tools.
  • Oversee the installation of hardware and software, monitoring program performance after implementation.
  • Develop formal test plans/scripts and work with the team on integration test plans.
  • Manage and appropriately escalate delivery impediments and changes associated with product development initiatives.
  • Participate in Factory and Integration testing for ViaPlus products.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in designing and implementing complex application software.
  • Expert-level knowledge of .NET and Angular
  • In-depth knowledge of development languages and tools such as Java, ASP.NET, C#, MVC, ADO.Net, Web Services, Windows Services, Windows Workflow, WCF, Team Foundation Server, Visual Studio, SQL Server, Entity Framework, and SSRS.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to lead and mentor a technical team.
  • Experience with security implementation, software patching, and encryption practices.
  • Familiarity with database access management and monitoring techniques.
  • Proven experience in overseeing the installation and monitoring of hardware and software.
  • Knowledge of structured analysis and design methodologies.
  • Experience in preparing technical reports, instruction manuals, and documentation.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in software development and system analysis.
