Required Skills

• Proven experience in technical writing, preferably in hardware documentation.
• Experience with documentation tools and software such as Microsoft Word, Google Docs, Adobe Photoshop, FrameMaker, or similar tools, and HTML coding.
• Strong understanding of technical concepts in areas such as engineering, manufacturing or related fields.
• Excellent writing, grammar, and editing skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for various audiences.
• Strong attention to detail, ensuring that documentation is accurate, thorough, and error-free.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and convey technical information clearly.
• Ability to quickly understand new technologies, workflows, and products to translate them into comprehensive documentation.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Desired Skills

• Experience in creating multimedia content (e.g., diagrams, graphic design, videos, and photo editing) to complement technical documentation.
• Strong writing skills in JSS 0251 format.
• Proficient in translating complex technical concepts into easily understandable information.
• Certification in Technical Writing.

As a Technical Content Writer, you will:

• Develop comprehensive user manuals, help files, and other instructional content for our products, ensuring clarity and usability for both technical and non-technical users
• Write and maintain detailed technical manuals, system specifications, installation guides, and an Interactive Electronic Technical Manual.
• Work closely with product managers, engineers, developers, and subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather technical information and understand product functionality to create accurate and effective documentation.
• Regularly update and revise documentation to reflect product updates, new features, and changes in functionality.
• Maintain consistency in documentation formatting, language, and style according to company standards.
• Format documentation for print and digital distribution.
• Review and incorporate feedback from users and internal teams to continually improve the quality, usability, and completeness of the documentation.

Degree and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in technical content writing.
