Senior UX Writer I7 (Technical Content Developer 3)

Job Description/Summary

Archer is looking for a dynamic, passionate individual to join the Archer User Experience Design team as a Senior UX Writer (Technical Content Developer 3) to write a variety of content, including UI labels and text, error messages, in-product user assistance, videos, and online Help. You will collaborate with other UX writers, UX designers, and product managers to improve the user experience of Archer. You’ll write about new features as well as maintaining existing content.

The ideal candidate has a passion for user-centric design, can write from scratch, maintain existing content, and think out of the box. You should have experience working with various stakeholders such as product managers, product owners, engineers, and product marketing. You have excellent attention to detail and commitment to meeting deadlines. You are self-motivated and have experience managing projects. You can compile information through research, hands-on product experience and interviews with subject-matter experts, and organize, analyze, and translate information into organized content for use by Archer clients, partners, and employees.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

• Write and edit a variety of content, including UI labels and text, error messages, in-product user assistance, videos, and online Help content.
• Work closely with peers on the Archer User Experience Design team to create content that helps our customers quickly and easily achieve their goals.
• Learn the product through hands-on experience (installing, configuring, and testing features).
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional agile teams, including engineering and product management.
• Advocate for the user and always write with the user in mind.
  
  

Required Skills

• Excellent English writing and communication skills and ability to clearly express complex ideas and concepts.
• Knowledge of technical communication and UX writing best practices.
• Ability and desire to collaborate with others
• Strong knowledge of Madcap Flare, Visio, and other standard technical content development tools.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational and project leadership skills
  
  

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree and/or certificate of completion of a university program in Technical Writing or equivalent experience.

Experience

Minimum of 6 years of experience as a technical writer or UX writer in a dynamic, fast-paced agile environment.
