What You'll Do

The Technical Account Manager (TAM) for E-Invoicing & Live Reporting (ELR) is responsible for the technical management and health of Avalara’s enterprise customers in the ELR product group. Fluency in French (written and spoken) is necessary for this role to communicate with French-speaking customers and regulatory authorities.

You will be the primary technical escalation point across our e-invoicing and live reporting solutions, ensuring resolution of issues following enterprise support service levels. As a TAM focused on the French market, you will develop a comprehensive understanding of each customer’s environment and compliance configuration, applying that knowledge to provide proactive guidance and high customer satisfaction.

You will report to the Manager, Product Support and work on a hybrid basis.

What Your Responsibilities Will Be

  • You will take end-to-end ownership of technical support cases for ELR customers in France, managing each issue through to resolution while keeping the customer informed.
  • You will perform analysis of support tickets for enterprise customers, including reproducing issues, conducting root cause analysis, and documenting findings.
  • Host regular update calls and escalation meetings to discuss technical status, pending issues, and next steps.
  • Be the customer’s advocate inside Avalara, partnering with our development, product management, compliance, and support teams.
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of each assigned customer’s technical environment.
  • Build and nurture a “trusted advisor” relationship with important customer contacts.
  • Identify potential challenges or recurring issues in the customer’s usage of ELR solutions.
  • Maintain knowledge base articles, technical notes, and documentation.
  • Assist customers in configuring Avalara’s ELR APIs and data formats.

What You’ll Need To Be Successful

  • Fluent French and English (written and spoken) is required, as your role will involve direct interaction with French-speaking customers and engagement with French regulatory e-invoicing systems (e.g., Chorus Pro).
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience supporting enterprise-level software or SaaS solutions.
  • Experience replicating issues, analyse logs or data (e.g., XML invoices).
  • Experience collaborating with several internal and external teams.
  • Hands-on experience with API integrations and data formats like XML/UBL would be a bonus.
