Junior Tableau Administrator

Lansing, MI (Hybrid-2 days onsite)

12-month contract, potential for permanent hire

About the Role

Our client in Lansing, MI is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Junior Tableau Administrator to provide administrative and operational support to their Data, Analytics, and Visualization team. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to apply their foundational data skills in a collaborative environment, with an emphasis on reporting coordination, dashboard updates, and stakeholder communication. You will be engaging in our early-talent program and also receive on the job technical training, professional development/military transition assistant

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Technology, or related field; OR Associate degree with 2+ years of relevant experience; OR 4+ years of relevant work experience in a data-related field
• Basic proficiency with Tableau and/or Power BI for reporting and dashboard maintenance
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail and data accuracy
• Proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Comfort working with both technical teams and business users

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Maintain and update Tableau and Power BI dashboards as directed by senior team members
• Assist with compiling and cleaning datasets for use in business reports
• Support team members by gathering report requirements and documenting user needs
• Coordinate data and report requests from stakeholders across business units
• Prepare summary reports and distribute dashboards on a recurring schedule
• Maintain documentation for existing dashboards, including data sources and refresh schedules
• Assist in tracking report usage and user feedback for optimization opportunities
• Schedule and organize meetings with stakeholders to review dashboards or gather input
• Provide basic training to internal users on how to access and interpret dashboards
• Stay informed on Tableau/Power BI features to help improve team processes and documentation
