Primary Responsibilities

  • Acts as principal technical resource in architecting and engineering Azure cloud solutions for Facets and Macess environments
  • Support the migration and subsequent administration of the Facets claims processing platform and all ancillary applications/processes
  • Works closely with Software Engineering and Infrastructure teams to design and develop Azure cloud compatible solutions to business problems
  • In-depth working knowledge of distributed systems, cloud based solutions, database management and application server operation
  • Performs capacity planning, system maintenance, platform upgrades, technology enhancements and automation of all manual tasks
  • Reduce technical debt by designing and developing cloud native solutions to existing processes or applications
  • Work within Agile scrum teams for troubleshooting application issues and delivering project milestones
  • Provide off hours support
  • Researches and evaluates alternatives and recommends solutions for system design
  • Support problem resolution; consult and advise on application design and tuning; plan, organize and execute product benchmarks for capacity threshold and functionality
  • Works with appropriate managers / application groups regarding problems with and capabilities of Facets environments and provides documentation to leadership
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years related Azure Cloud Engineering experience in architecting, designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions
  • 3+ years experience supporting a large scale application platform

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Facets experience
  • Macess experience (FIS Workflow Manager)
  • Azure cloud solutions
  • Windows server administration experience
  • Automation experience - Jenkins, Powershell, Ansible, Terraform, etc.
  • SQL Server database experience
  • Site reliability engineering experience
