Job Duties
* Design, implement, and support enterprise-wide server infrastructure, including physical and virtual environments
* Manage and optimize operating systems and related applications
* Configure and maintain network infrastructure components and services
* Implement and maintain data backup, recovery, and business continuity solutions
* Troubleshoot complex system and network issues to maintain high availability
* Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to implement security controls and address vulnerabilities
* Create and maintain system documentation, standard operating procedures, and technical specifications
* Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve efficiency and capabilities
* Support the migration of appropriate workloads to cloud-based platforms
Minimum Qualifications
* Minimum 5 years of experience in systems administration or engineering roles
* Strong knowledge of Windows Server operating systems
* Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
* Working knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and infrastructure
* Experience with backup and recovery solutions
* Familiarity with scripting and automation tools (PowerShell, Python, Bash)
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and documentation abilities
Additional Considerations
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent experience
* Master's degree in related technical field
* Professional certifications (Microsoft, VMware, CompTIA, AWS, Azure)
* Experience working in government or public sector environments
* Knowledge of cloud technologies and migration strategies
* Experience with monitoring solutions and performance optimization
