Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Network Computer & Security Engineer at Opasa in Melbourne, VIC. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Computer & Security Engineer to join our dynamic team.

Compute Technical skills:

• General knowledge of servers
• Routing and switching knowledge (Configuration and troubleshooting of routers and switches)
• Storage area networking knowledge
• Server virtualization knowledge
• Implement networking elements in the UCS Manager
• Implement Cisco UCS firmware updates, Cisco UCS backups, and monitoring
• Deploy Cisco UCS Central and use it to add a Cisco UCS Manager domain, manage resources centrally, and create all required pools and templates to deploy a service profile.
• Implementing Fibre Channel on Cisco UCS
• Implementing FCoE on Cisco UCS
• Strong understanding of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and more.
• Experience with configuring and managing firewalls to control network traffic and prevent unauthorized access.
• Understanding complex technical issues and managing them within a fast-paced environment
• Maintaining all the software and hardware in relation to security.
• Proficiency in Windows servers and Linux

Network Technical skills:

• Networking fundamentals (DNS, VLAN, etc)
• Routing and switching knowledge (Configuration and troubleshooting of routers and switches)
• Firewall and Security - Firewall configuration (Cisco Firepower and Juniper SRX)
• Network segmentation
• Strong understanding of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and more.

Security Technical skills:

• Endpoint Security
• CrowdStrike
• Device hardening and patch management
• Active directory
• Implement and audit account lockout policy
• Harden AD infrastructure again privilege escalation and attacks
• Structuring and Managing Ous
• Design and manage group policies (GPOs)
