Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Cybersecurity Engineer to join our growing team. This hands-on technical role is ideal for someone who is passionate about security, thrives on solving complex problems, and is eager to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You’ll be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining Cybersecurity solutions that protect our clients' digital assets and support their business objectives.

Interstate travel within Australia may be required for project delivery, incident response, and client engagements.

Key Responsibilities

Cybersecurity Engineering

• Design, deploy, and manage Cybersecurity tools and platforms, including SIEMs, EDR/XDR, firewalls, email security, and identity solutions.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, risk analyses, and penetration testing to identify security gaps and recommend remediation strategies.
• Collaborate with clients to define and implement security architectures aligned with business and compliance needs.
• Respond to Cybersecurity incidents, lead investigations, and implement corrective actions.

Client Engagement & Support

• Act as a trusted security advisor to clients, providing clear communication on security risks, remediation steps, and strategic improvements.
• Support client on-boarding for Cybersecurity services, including system integration and training.
• Work closely with the account management team to ensure client satisfaction and successful project outcomes.

Continuous Improvement

• Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and trends in the Cybersecurity landscape.
• Contribute to internal process improvements, documentation, and development of new security service offerings.
• Assist with compliance initiatives such as ISO 27001, Essential Eight, or NIST frameworks.

Interstate Travel

• Travel across Australia as needed for client consultations, project deployments, audits, or incident response activities.
• Maintain a high level of service delivery and professionalism in every client engagement.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Cybersecurity engineering, security operations, or a related technical security role.
• Hands-on experience with tools such as Microsoft Defender, Palo Alto, Fortinet, CrowdStrike, Splunk, Sentinel, or similar.
• Knowledge of Cybersecurity frameworks and controls (e.g., NIST CSF, ISO 27001, ASD Essential Eight).
• Strong understanding of networking, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cloud security (Azure or AWS).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Willingness to travel interstate as needed.
• A valid driver’s license.
