We are looking for a Program Manager to support the ASEAN Marine Plastic Accelerator in Southeast Asia. The candidate will support the Program Director in the execution of the programs.


The position is open to candidates based in Manila or Jakarta.


The responsibilities outlined below are not exhaustive and can include other related tasks. The employee may, from time to time, work on other projects as the company sees fit.


Program Management:

  • Oversee the end-to-end delivery of the Accelerator program, ensuring smooth operations from startup selection to graduation.
  • Develop and refine program content, including workshops, mentoring sessions, and networking events tailored to the needs of climate tech startups.
  • Maintain program timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure efficient execution and achievement of program milestones.


Startup Support:

  • Provide hands-on support to startups, assisting them in refining their business models, technology development, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Facilitate introductions to mentors, industry experts, and potential investors, helping startups build valuable networks.
  • Conduct regular check-ins with cohort companies to track their progress, identify challenges, and provide strategic guidance.


Ecosystem Engagement:

  • Scout for relevant startups, through direct engagement or collaboration with mutipliers
  • Cultivate relationships with industry leaders, corporate partners, and venture capitalists to enrich the accelerator’s network and provide value to cohort companies.
  • Organize events such as demo days, pitch nights, and networking sessions to showcase startups and promote investment opportunities.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends and regulatory changes in climate tech and sustainability to ensure the program remains at the cutting edge.


Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years of experience in program management, startup incubation/acceleration, or venture building, preferably within the climate tech or sustainability sectors.
  • Strong understanding of climate technologies, market trends, and key challenges in sustainability.
  • Proven track record of working collaboratively in cross-functional teams and the ability to foster strong relationships with diverse stakeholders, including founders, mentors, investors, and industry partners., and industry experts.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for solving environmental challenges through innovation.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex concepts to diverse audiences.


Skills Required

  • Program Management: Ability to plan, execute, and monitor accelerator programs, ensuring smooth operations and timely delivery of milestones.
  • Collaboration & Teamwork: Proven ability to work in cross-functional teams and foster a collaborative, inclusive environment. Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with startups, mentors, investors, and partners.
  • Leadership: Capable of leading and motivating a cohort of startups, providing strategic direction and helping them navigate challenges.
  • Communication & Presentation: Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively to diverse stakeholders. Experience with public speaking or presenting at events is a plus.
  • Problem Solving: Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot issues and provide strategic solutions to startups.
  • Climate Tech Expertise: In-depth knowledge of climate tech trends, technologies, and market dynamics, allowing you to advise startups on relevant challenges and opportunities.
  • Networking: Ability to engage with key ecosystem players, such as investors, corporate partners, and industry leaders, to provide value to startups and build lasting relationships. 8. Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities, capable of managing multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Mentoring & Coaching: Ability to offer strategic advice and feedback to startups on various aspects of their business, such as product development, fundraising, and market strategy.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Strong analytical skills to track KPIs, measure program success, and suggest improvements based on insights from data.
