Summary

Job Summary:

This position plays a key role in supporting essential accounting and financial reporting functions, including the month-end close process, balance sheet reconciliations, and audit support. The role focuses on maintaining accurate financial records, upholding internal controls, and ensuring compliance with standard accounting practices. This team member will contribute to the overall efficiency and integrity of the accounting operations by performing the following responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare journal entries for month-end close in alignment with US GAAP standards
  • Perform monthly reconciliations for bank accounts and balance sheet accounts
  • Collaborate with operations to monitor inventory activity and prepare related journal entries
  • Maintain and update schedules for prepaid and accrued expenses, ensuring accurate P&L allocation
  • Compile and provide audit support documentation as needed
  • Assist in preparing schedules for external audits and tax-related reporting
  • Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and project support as requested by the accounting or finance team
  • Deliver professional and courteous support when interacting with internal or external stakeholders
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for process improvement
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned

Skills & Competencies:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formulas)
  • Strong analytical and organizational abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail and follow-through
  • Cultural awareness and sensitivity in working with diverse teams

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
  • Minimum of two (2) years of relevant accounting experience preferred
  • Experience with accounting software such as Sage Intacct is a plus
  • Prior experience in a multi-entity or multi-location organization is beneficial
  • Familiarity with US GAAP and financial reporting best practices preferred
