Overview Synaptics is looking for Sr. Staff Information Systems Engineer, MS Windows to join our dynamic and expanding organization. In this role, you will serve as a technical leader within the IT organization, collaborating cross-functionally and with senior leadership to enhance performance and employee efficiency. Your responsibilities will include designing, presenting, troubleshooting, and implementing Microsoft-based infrastructure solutions. This position is reported to the Sr. Director, Global Infrastructure and Cloud. The typical base pay range for this position is USD $139,000 - $218,900 per year. Individual pay is determined by many factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual performance bonus, equity, and other benefits. Note that compensation listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Responsibilities & Competencies Job Duties * Design, implement, and support Windows-based systems and cloud technologies * Provide expertise in identity and access management, including directory services and authentication solutions * Manage and support email, messaging, and collaboration platforms * Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to enterprise IT infrastructure * Ensure security, compliance, and best practices for system configurations * Oversee licensing, user management, and access controls * Develop and maintain technical documentation, including troubleshooting guides and best practices * Implement and manage security policies, procedures, and protocols * Collaborate with IT teams to ensure seamless integration of systems and services Competencies * Deep understanding of identity management and directory services * Customer-focused approach with a commitment to service excellence * Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities * Proactive, self-starter, able to adapt in a fast-paced and evolving technology environment * Well organized with strong attention to detail; proactively ensures work is accurate * Positive attitude and work ethic; unafraid to ask questions and explore new ideas * Highly analytical, resourceful, and able to solve complex problems through adaptation of existing technology and investigation of new technology to resolve complex problems * Excellent verbal and written communication, documentation, and collaboration skills Qualifications (Requirements) * Bachelor's in Computer Science or Engineering or related field or equivalent * 12+ years' experience in Windows-based enterprise environments * Background in cloud and on-premises infrastructure management * Experience with system automation, security, and compliance best practices * Familiarity with virtualization, hybrid environments, and IT service management * No travel required Belief in Diversity Synaptics is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to workforce diversity.
