Job Summary
We are seeking an experience Sr. Director of Security to uphold the safety and security of our Company. The ideal candidate will be a key player in crisis management, planning, and execution.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee emergency response protocols, implement security policy, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal security laws and regulations.
- Conduct investigations into security breaches and providing reports detailing the event and actions taken
- Work closely with Human Resources and IT departments to identify potential risks and liabilities.
- Design and implement comprehensive security strategies to protect organizational assets, including physical, digital, and intellectual property
- Create and implement security policies and procedures, managing security operations, and coordinating security staff
- Ensure the safety and security of executive leadership and the Board of Directors.
- Actively participate in professional security organizations, such as the Transportation Asset Protection Association (TAPA).
- Ensure transportation security protocols are followed
- Manage third-party security guard/officer contracts, including deployment, performance evaluation, and ongoing contract assessment.
- Conduct internal investigations, coordinate with external insurance investigators, collaborate with internal stakeholders, and be supportive of law enforcement for security incidents.
- Develop and maintain close relationships with local, state, and federal law enforcement
- Collaborate with the various facilities (building) managers respective of security.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a two-year associate degree, with a bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
- At least 10 years of experience in law enforcement and/or military service.
- Proven corporate security experience in a leadership capacity.
- Strong background in investigations and physical security.
- Executive protection experience is highly desirable.
- Experience in managing security budgets and deploying resources effectively.
- Proficiency in risk assessment and threat analysis.
- Ability to lead and train teams in security protocols and awareness.
- In-depth knowledge of security standards (e.g., Facility Security Requirements, Trucking Security Requirements).
- Understanding of legal and regulatory security requirements.
- Active membership in relevant professional security associations.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience.
- Strong collaboration skills with stakeholders at all levels.
- High integrity and ethical standards in professional conduct.
- Willingness to hold others accountable to performance and conduct standards.
- Ability to communicate candidly and respectfully with executive leadership.
- Experience conducting high-level executive meetings and briefings.
- Strong presentation and public speaking skills.
- Excellent diplomatic skills for handling sensitive internal and external situations.
- Proven crisis management experience and decision-making under pressure.

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
