Hansell Tierney is seeking a contract Senior Software Engineer to join a high-impact team focused on unifying several disparate payment platforms into a centralized payments hub. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a complex, large-scale initiative involving the design, development, and integration of mission-critical payment systems and services.

Duration: 6-12 Month Contract to Hire

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable backend services using .NET technologies (ASP.Net, C#, Web API).
• Integrate various digital payment components including payment gateways, token vaults, fraud and risk management systems, and digital wallets.
• Contribute to the unification of legacy and modern payment platforms into a centralized payments hub.
• Work with third-party services such as CyberSource and Fiserv’s uCom platform to enable secure and compliant payment processing.
• Ensure adherence to security protocols and industry standards (e.g., PCI-DSS, EMV, OAuth).
• Build cloud-native services leveraging Azure components including App Services, Cosmos DB, Key Vault, and Azure Data Factory.
• Utilize serverless architectures, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of features.
• Participate in code reviews, CI/CD pipeline development, and ongoing performance and scalability tuning.
• Uphold engineering best practices and contribute to system design discussions and documentation.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of professional experience with .NET technologies (C#, ASP.Net, Web API).
• Deep expertise in the digital payments domain, including integration with gateways, tokenization, fraud prevention systems, and wallet platforms.
• Demonstrated experience working with CyberSource (payment, token vault, fraud) and Fiserv’s uCom platform.
• Strong understanding of payment standards and compliance protocols (PCI-DSS, EMV, OAuth, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with Azure services (App Service, Cosmos DB, Key Vault, ADF).
• Experience with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure automation (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Solid knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, modern version control systems (e.g., Git), and development tools.
• Strong grasp of software engineering principles, design patterns, and system scalability.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Compensation for this role is highly dependent on experience and skill level, the estimated range is between $70.00 and $95.00 per hour.
