Summary
The Senior Industrial Engineer plays a pivotal role in optimizing manufacturing processes, enhancing operational efficiency, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This position involves the analysis of existing processes, the design and implementation of new workflows, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to achieve sustainable operational excellence. The Senior Industrial Engineer will leverage advanced analytical skills, a deep understanding of manufacturing principles, and extensive industry experience to deliver solutions that elevate production performance, reduce costs, and ensure the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
Process Optimization:
Analyze and evaluate existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement.
Develop and implement innovative process solutions to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
Utilize lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements.
Project Management
Lead and manage engineering projects from conceptualization through to implementation and evaluation.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain to ensure project goals are met.
Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, and ensure adherence to all project requirements.
Data Analysis And Reporting
Collect, analyze, and interpret complex data sets to support decision-making processes.
Generate detailed reports on process performance, and provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
Implement and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and report on operational efficiency
Design And Implementation
Design layout of equipment, materials, and workspace to achieve maximum efficiency.
Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain consistency in operations.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Continuous Improvement
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all areas of the manufacturing floor.
Train and mentor junior engineers and production staff in lean practices and improvement techniques.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence within the organization.
Cost Analysis And Reduction
Conduct cost-benefit analyses for process changes and new projects.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend strategies for reducing operational costs.
Work collaboratively with procurement and finance teams to implement cost-saving measures.
Education And/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Master’s degree is a plus.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial engineering or a related field.
Proven track record in process optimization, project management, and continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.
Essential Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in industrial engineering software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Six Sigma tools).
Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and influence stakeholders.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma certification preferred.
Working Condition
Environment is climate controlled. Should be able to reach over shoulder heights; bend or stoop below the waist; repetitive wrist, hand, or finger movement; occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
