One of Medix's healthcare clients is hiring for a remote Sr Data Engineer. It is a contract to hire opportunity.

Day to day responsibilities:

• Design scalable Azure-based data architecture
• Build and maintain robust data pipelines (ETL)
• Write, review, and optimize stored procedures and SQL queries
• Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues
• Collaborate cross-functionally (Dev, Data teams)
• Provide recommendations on infrastructure improvements
• Support data access for analytics and reporting
• Contribute to documentation and compliance (HIPAA awareness is helpful)

Selling Points

• Ability to work in a fast paced healthcare environment
• May be able to be a part of an Azure Fabric implementation

5 Must Have Skills/Qualifications:

• Expertise in designing and implementing Azure-based data architecture
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Data Lakes, Databricks, and (potentially) Fabric
• SQL performance tuning and stored procedure review
• Database optimization and data modeling
• Ability to make technical recommendations for scalable data infrastructure

• Azure Blob Storage
• T-SQL
• Python or Scala
• EF Core (Entity Framework Core)
• Synapse (knowledge/familiarity helpful)
• Azure Fabric (possibly upcoming)
