Job Title: Sr. Advisor – Project Management

Location: Toronto, ON (VPC Office)

Length: 12 months (potential for extension)

Rotation: Hybrid – Mon/Tues/Thurs in-office, Wed/Fri remote


Description:

Our client is seeking a Senior Advisor – Project Management to lead medium to large-scale IS-related projects across the full project life cycle. This role will serve as a liaison between the business and IS teams and is a key part of the Business Readiness and Project Support team. The successful candidate will help identify project interdependencies, mitigate risks, and ensure seamless project delivery.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead all phases of assigned projects, from scope definition and cost/benefit analysis to design, testing, training, implementation, and post-launch support.
  • Coordinate business readiness activities and ensure understanding of stage gate deliverables.
  • Drive change management and employee engagement strategies to support system adoption and business process redesign.
  • Maintain clear communication with management and stakeholders on project status, issues, and progress.
  • Act as an internal project resource, bringing business process knowledge and facilitation expertise to other initiatives as needed.


Scope/Dimensions:

  • Accountable for assigned project management decisions.
  • Responsible for identifying and escalating risks/issues.
  • Engage with business subject matter experts to support key decisions.


Required Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 8 years of project management experience
  • Proven ability to manage projects with diverse stakeholders and complex requirements
  • Experience with change management and stakeholder influence
  • Strong facilitation, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities
  • Proficiency in MS Project, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel, Word


Preferred:

  • PMP designation
  • Operational experience in industrial or regulated environments


Working Conditions:

  • Office-based hybrid model (3 days in-office, 2 days remote)
